*some poetry*a zine or two*mostly whatever

and this week i am visiting my parents.

they moved to a town that was established in 1942 for the purposes of developing nuclear weapons to wipe out our enemies during WWII. there’s a museum here about it. but what they left out of the museum is that our government dropped atomic bombs on a whole bunch of civilians after their government had already undergone peace talks. as is the American way i guess.

it’s a town where if you happen to catch another queer person in the wild, say, while you’re grabbing a coffee, or passing the time looking at antiques, or browsing hair dye at sally beauty, they burst into a huge smile when they see you. they compliment your style, and in some cases, even start giving you free stickers. and we should commemorate it with ribbons and buttons because here, it’s an event as rare and cosmic as a comet falling from the sky.

but this is a town that specializes in comets. especially the artificial, radioactive kind that destroys whole cities in nanoseconds.

being here really gets you thinking!

appalachia is spiritual… and let’s just say… creepy as fuck! oak ridge specifically, which was built between a prison town and the great smoky mountains, and whose roads were purposefully built to be so wind-ily confusing as to make spying impossible, has a remarkably haunted vibe.

and so… i have to make something in order to deal with this all, so that i don’t spend my nights smoking, paranoid as fuck, all alone in the enormity of everything. so welcome to my little space :D. i’ll update this as much as i want to and as much as my opinions inspire me to.

get cozy gurls 。𖦹°‧⭑.ᐟ
